In our practice we used the Easyton to monitor IOP of patients in the early postoperative period after keratoplasty. From our study we concluded that this device is a safe and reliable alternative comparing to palpation tonometry. Palpation tonometry is a longstanding method but has to be performed by a very experienced surgeon in order to provide consistent measurements without risk to underestimate IOP. Additionally in these case, the use of tonometers is not indicated due to the effect of irregular cornea on the measurements or patient discomfort.
